Services

Sessions are carried out on a one-to-one basis, from your child's home or an educational environment. With your child's needs at the forefront, discussion of the best route for your child will be conducted to ensure they receive the right therapy, tailored to suit their individual needs.
Initial Consultation
Following your initial enquiry, a 15-20 minute telephone consultation will be arranged to allow you to discuss concerns and receive professional advice surroundings your child's speech and/or language needs and the possibility of therapy. Upon completion of the consultation, you are under no obligation to use any of the services provided.

Screening
Speech and language screening is a 45-60 minute session, involving the collation of your child's case history and the completion of a play-based assessment appropriate for your child. To conclude the session, the results and findings of your child's assessment will be discussed. This will be used to provide recommendations surrounding the need for further assessment (see assessment) and/or therapy and begin to formulate future strategies for your child. Following the session, a summary report will be sent to you, detailing the session findings and the discussed recommendations and strategies.

Assessment
This includes a one hour formal and/or informal assessment of your child's speech and/or language, used in place of or alongside screening. Upon completion of the assessment, verbal feedback will provide insight to the results of the assessment and appropriate targets will be derived. A written report will be sent, providing overview to the session, findings of the assessment, and the subsequent recommendations/areas of focus.

Therapy
Therapy sessions will last up to 60 minutes and place focus on achieving the selected, pre-agreed targets.  Therapy sessions will be customised to meet your child's interests to ensure therapy is both fun and engaging! Resources and strategies used within the therapy sessions will be given following the completion of each session. These can then be utilised in between sessions to further the progression of your child.
The frequency of therapy sessions is flexible and individual to your child in order to suit their needs and requirements.
