Hello I'm Alice, an independent paediatric speech and language therapist based in Bungay, Suffolk. Upon finishing secondary school, I soon realised that I wanted to pursue a career working with children. I went on to study a two-year course in Childcare at College. During this time, I expanded my knowledge through placements in a special needs school, a mainstream school and in a nursery. These placements allowed me to understand the importance and value of communication for children. I went on to study BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy at the University of East Anglia, graduating in the summer of 2019. University not only granted me with the valuable education needed to work with children within the speech and language setting, but also furthered my experience in the clinical setting through further paediatric placement. Through my university studies, I continued my work within a nursery setting, now seeing seven years of work in childcare.
